Sub-Zero IC-30FI Ice-Maker Fill Inlet Freezes After Multiple Parts
An IC-30FI inlet froze after an ice maker, valve and heater were replaced. The remaining upstream-valve hypothesis was not yet confirmed.

Sub-Zero Hot Compressors With the Condenser Fan Not Running
A Sub-Zero had a 70°F freezer, very hot compressors and a powered but stopped condenser fan. The case separates airflow repair from compressor proof.

Sub-Zero EC 50: What Excessive Refrigerator Compressor Run Means
EC 50 means excessive refrigerator compressor run. Two real Sub-Zero cases show why temperatures, airflow and sealed-system evidence matter.

Sub-Zero 632 Localized Evaporator Ice: Suspected Leak
A Sub-Zero 632/S2 developed sharply localized evaporator ice. The thread proposed a leak but did not report sealed-system confirmation.

Miele KF1913Vi Fan Frozen in Ice: The Separate Drain Heater Was Open
A real Miele KF1913Vi case shows how ice location and an open drain-heater reading prevented a speculative fan-motor replacement.

LG R600 Refrigerator: New Compressor Will Not Start
An LG R600 replacement compressor would not start while the old one did. The source identified an R134a/R600 application mismatch.

LG LMXS27626D: Negative Low Pressure After Compressor Replacement
An LG LMXS27626D pulled to -20 psi after a compressor replacement. A nitrogen purge moved trapped oil and the refrigerator began working.

GE Monogram ZISS480DMAS: 30°F Inside, 60°F on the Display
A GE Monogram ZISS480DMAS measured 30°F while displaying 60°F. A new board did not help, leaving sensor stability and signal interpretation to verify.

GE Monogram ZISS420DMDS Evaporator Fan Freezes Again
A ZISS420DMDS evaporator fan iced again after replacement. Ceiling condensation pointed toward drain, defrost, sensor and insulation checks.

Electrolux SY CF / SY CE After an Ice-Maker Thermistor Short
An Electrolux refrigerator showed SY CF and went mostly dead after an ice-maker thermistor short, focusing diagnosis on the main board and interface path.
What changes the diagnostic path
Useful comparisons include whether one compartment is warm or both are warm, whether fans and compressors run, whether frost or water is present, and whether the failure began after service. Exact model and error-code context matter on premium built-in equipment.
The same symptom can have a different cause. A field case should narrow the next safe observation, not justify replacing the same component blindly.
Record before requesting service
- Full model and serial number.
- Fresh-food and freezer temperatures, measured rather than estimated.
- Exact display code and when it appears.
- Recent power interruption, cleaning, installation or repair.
- Any sound, frost, leak or odor that changes over time.
Stop and disconnect power after smoke, arcing, a hot electrical smell or energized metal. Sealed-system and live-voltage testing require qualified equipment and training.
A replacement that did not solve the fault
A repair that did not follow the obvious path
