Field evidence
A Useful Case Shows How the Conclusion Was Reached
The library preserves observations, measurements and changed conditions when the source contains them, while keeping professional-risk procedures behind a clear safety boundary.
Five evidence types worth separating
- Observed behavior: what happens and at which cycle stage.
- Changed condition: load, vent, compartment, mode or recent repair.
- Visual or camera evidence: leak path, damage or routing that was actually seen.
- Measured evidence: a value interpreted against exact documentation.
- Outcome evidence: what changed after the correction and whether that was reported.
The same symptom can have a different cause. Stronger evidence reduces guesswork but does not make one case universally transferable.
What is intentionally not reproduced
The public case pages do not turn technician discussions into homeowner instructions for live voltage, gas, refrigerant, microwave high voltage or energized moving parts. They explain the reasoning and the evidence boundary instead.
Interpretation rule: a measurement without the exact test condition, reference value and model documentation can be more misleading than no number at all.

Whirlpool F03 E01 with Drain Running Forever
A Whirlpool ran its drain forever, flashed the lock lamp and showed F03/E01 after a level-sensor connection changed. The signal path came first.
Maytag MVW7230HW0 Quick Wash Stuck at 17 Minutes
A Maytag MVW7230HW0 kept operating while Quick Wash remained at 17 minutes. The case separates a stalled countdown from a simple no-spin fault.
Maytag F1E2 After Drain Worked and Programs Stopped
A Maytag drained correctly, then programs stopped after pause and F1E2 appeared. The case separates standing-water door lock from motor control.
