The Washer Drained Because the Control Could Not Trust the Water Level

The clear hose did not settle the signal path. Temporarily changing the sensor connection revived the controls, while pressing Off recreated the protective drain.

Case snapshot

What the source establishes

  • The drain started immediately, the door-lock lamp flashed and the controls did not respond.
  • The pressure hose was clear when blown through.
  • Disconnecting the water-level sensor lead for several seconds revived the control and revealed F03/E01.
  • After reconnection the washer could fill, wash, drain and spin, but pressing Off during operation recreated the endless-drain state.
  • A bad level signal or control interpretation was proposed; the sensor was ordered but no result followed.

A similar symptom can have a different cause on another appliance or model.

Diagnostic process

How the evidence narrowed the diagnosis

Protection

The pump ran continuously

The control behaved as if water might be too high.

Hose

The pressure hose was clear

That weakened a simple blocked-hose explanation.

Signal change

Changing the sensor connection revived the panel

F03/E01 then exposed the level-signal branch.

What the evidence supports

What the evidence supports

The evidence supports a missing or implausible water-level signal, with the sensor and control interpretation still separate. The ordered sensor was not reported installed.

What to do next

What should be verified next

Preserve the code, pressure-hose condition and exact trigger. Qualified service should verify the sensor signal and control input before replacing the board.

Water and electrical safety: do not disconnect or simulate a level sensor while operating the washer. Unplug the machine and control any standing water before service.
