What to copy from the rating plate
Record the full model exactly as printed, including punctuation and suffix. Add the serial number when production revision may matter, but do not publish a customer's identifying details. Note built-in, freestanding, gas, electric and voltage configuration where relevant.
The same symptom can have a different cause. Even within one brand, different platforms can use different diagnostics and parts.
Brand pages should earn their existence
A future brand hub should open only when the corpus contains enough distinct model cases to offer real navigation and comparison. A page that merely repeats a generic brand description adds no diagnostic value.
Model boundary: never transfer wire positions, terminal labels, code meanings or service-mode steps from a similar-looking model without its exact technical documentation.
