Waterproof Means the Leak-Protection Path Needs Attention
The field discussion treated the message as evidence of detected water. It did not identify which component leaked.
What the message does and does not prove
Waterproof was interpreted as activation of the dishwasher's leak protection. That makes the immediate task locating water and stopping further leakage, not repeatedly resetting or ordering the first component associated with the message.
The same symptom can have a different cause on another dishwasher. The message does not name a drain, valve, pressure sensor or circulation assembly by itself.
Branches raised in the field discussion
- Drain-system leakage.
- The pressure or water-monitoring sensor and its connections.
- The inlet valve or waterproof intake assembly.
- The circulation system.
The source did not provide an exact model or test result, so these are inspection areas, not a ranked failure list.
Safe information to collect
- Stop the cycle and shut off the water supply.
- Record the full model and exact display wording.
- Note when the message appears: fill, wash, drain or while idle.
- Look only for externally visible water and leave base-pan inspection to service.
Water and live-voltage safety: do not run the dishwasher open to watch for a leak or reach through the electrical access area. Disconnect power and water and use qualified service.
