What the case confirmed

  • The model was reported as G843plus IV.
  • The dishwasher stopped about five to seven minutes into the cycle.
  • Intake/Drain flashed even though ordinary draining worked.
  • The base was wet; drying it and restarting reproduced the condition.
  • Dripping was observed near the thermostat area.

A similar symptom can have a different cause on another dishwasher. Here, the visible base water made leak localization more important than replacing a drain pump.

What remained unproved

The circulation assembly and a flow sensor were proposed as possible repair parts, but the source did not report a pressure test, disassembly result or completed replacement. The leak location still had to be traced to the actual seal or component.

Parts availability and repair value also mattered because this was an older premium model.

What to document before service

  • Time how long the cycle runs before the light flashes.
  • Note whether normal drain mode still removes water.
  • Stop using the dishwasher if water reappears below it.
  • Provide the exact model and any prior pump or sensor work.
Water and electrical safety: do not keep resetting a dishwasher with water in its base. Disconnect power, shut off the supply and have the leak traced before reuse.
