DR was reported, and the first concrete observation was weak water flow. That made condensate removal more specific than immediately blaming a control board.

The useful observation

  • The dryer operated for roughly three minutes before shutting down.
  • DR was part of the reported complaint, although it did not appear on every trial.
  • A technician interpreted DR as a water-overfill or condensate-removal condition.
  • Only a weak flow of water was then observed.

The same symptom can have a different cause on another dryer. The code definition must be verified with the exact Bosch model before it is treated as universal.

Why the condensate path came first

A condenser dryer must move collected water through its pump and channels. Weak flow is a direct clue that this path may be restricted or that the pump is not moving the expected volume.

A belt-tension switch, door switch and control board were also mentioned, but none had a case-specific test result. They remain later branches if condensate removal proves normal.

What a technician should verify

  1. Obtain the complete model and confirm the DR definition.
  2. Observe whether condensate reaches the pump and leaves at a normal rate.
  3. Inspect the complete channel for restriction or leakage.
  4. Only after the water path passes, test the belt, door and control inputs.
Electrical and water safety: disconnect power before accessing the condensate pump. Do not run the dryer open around energized parts or pooled water.
